Swingin’ Spring, May 11-13^th 2012!

Update 2: With just a couple of days to go, we would just like to inform you of a few fun and practical things:

1.  Swingin’ Spring are proud to present a grand show on Saturday evening, starring all the teachers of the camp, dont miss it!
2. There will be yummy home made cafe style food available at very reasonable prices during the Friday and Saturday parties. You can find the menu here! (There might be small changes.)
3. If you are contributing to the vintage swap market, please bring your own hangers!

Update: Not even a week to go. We are getting really excited, and looking forward to seeing you all! There are still a couple of places left for leads and couples in the Improver and Advanced levels and for the Party pass. If you are still in the deciding process of whether to join or not, decide before TUESDAY 8th of MAY, when the registration will close! Followers, make sure you get a lead to sign up with you if you haven’t already.

Welcome! We have the great pleasure of offering some of the very best, in teachers, live bands and DJs. As usual, we will offer three nights of social dancing, along with two days of classes. (Or, for those of you who can, take the opportunity to stick around, relax after a busy weekend, and join our weekly Monday dance as well…)

Costs

1150 kr (Included in the price are the classes plus entrance to the evening parties and tea dance. Lunch can be ordered for the cost of 95 SEK extra per day.)

We encourage all camp participants to take responsibility for their valuables during the camp. If you would like to use one of the lockers available, please bring your own padlock.

The class rooms have plastic floors, so please come prepared with you most slippery shoes. In the evenings on the other hand, the floor is fabulous!

News in the 2012 edition

For those of you who have been to Swingin’ Spring before, there are some news compared to previous editions.

There will be three teacher-couples teaching on four levels, from beginner intermediate to advanced level. Previous years we have seen five techer-couples and five levels. (This means there will be no pure beginners level this year, and the advanced level is the highest level.)

There will be a total of 7,5 hrs of classes (compared to 10 hrs previous years). Each group will see each teacher-couple the same amount of time. However, on top of this, there will be some exciting taster classes.

There will be a Vintage Swap Market – hand in your precious vintage finds and get bargains from your fellow dancers! Read all about what and how here!
